INFINIA - INSTANT CHECKOUT - NO MORE QUEUE
Problem
During rush hours or festive seasons customers have to queue up for check-out at Retail stores. Sometimes this wait is more than 30-40 minutes, and customers decide not to buy the product and eventually leave the store. This is a lost sales for a retailer.
Requirement
To build an iOS and Android app to incentivize loyal customers with a instant checkout app as part of brand app. Loyal customers do not need to wait at the POS. They can do instant checkout comfortably by themselves. Further, customers will also be able to access store after they are closed. In essence, all stores can potentially be 24 hours open without any sales staff.
Approach
We did some research and customer interviews regarding time customers wait in the store for checkout. We found that people come to store to experience the product but end up buying online. One of the important reasons was LONG QUEUES at checkout.We built an iOS app to validate the idea. We presented the idea at few events and got a very good feedback. As a next steps we will build an SDK which can be implemented in loyalty apps of brand and will enable instant check-out for their loyal customers.
Digitrial
Problem
The clinical trial team of Bayer was facing the huge problem of doing extensive paperwork in the process of conducting clinical studies. The study coordinators had to travel with paper and pen to take down study recordings from the patients and later they had to enter all the recorded data in a centralized system manually. In this process, they lost a lot of time and effort and it also led to huge amount of data inconsistencies.
Requirement
To build an App for iOS and Android to help coordinators record all the data digitally in the centralised data system, send calendar invitations to patients, set reminders, fill the checklists digitally.
Approach
To solve this problem, we developed a mobile app in React Native through which the study coordinators could record their data online which would get synced with the centralized data system immediately. The app also provided features to set reminders for patient visits, book calendar invites, run checklists to ensure that all important conditions of the study are completed. We took this further to include community networking amongst study coordinators and patients. In this proposal, the users can join discussions forums and chat with coordinators. They can also refer to relevant reference materials and also have the option to chat with a bot so that they can get immediate answers to their queries.
Evive Care
Problem
Stroke Patients lose the ability to speak. During their Rehab they visit Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), once a week for speech therapy. The recovery time with SLPs is anything between 1 – 1.5 years. Also caregiver of such patients (partner, children etc.) has no means to help these patients at home
Requirement
Evivecare wants to build an android tablet app for patients which will allow them to do different speaking exercises. This app will use Google text to speech and also Speech Recognition to understand what patient is saying and how well patient is pronouncing. The web front end will also be provided for SLP to assign homework to patients and see the progress they make at home
Approach
We did some research and customer interviews regarding the use of digital products among senior citizen (aged 60+). We also on boarded some SLPs to take their feedback. After a positive feedback we created some technical spikes for Google TTS and Speech Recognition. Once that was successful Android app and Web front end was developed. The SLP product was launched on 19th Nov 2016 and directly 50 SLP were on-boarded in 2 weeks
Calf Care
Problem
Bayer’s animal farming department is majorly concerned about the calf health since the mortality rate of calves is very high. The main reason for this is that calf health is greatly ignored by farmers and results in many calves dying due to various diseases like Diarrhoea or due to poor hygiene conditions.
Requirement
Build a mobile app for Bayer vets to conduct a real-time assessment of the farms and calves and record the information digitally to provide real-time analysis to vets on the overall health of the calves.
Approach
To address this issue, we developed a mobile app for Bayer vets. The vet can conduct real-time assessments of farms and calves and record their observations in the app. The app then calculates the overall cost of maintaining the farm and risk factors associated with the farm based on the assessment values captured by the vet. The app also prepares reports and graphs to give the vet a good indication of the overall health situation of calves on the farm.
Infinia Warehouse
Problem
Warehouse Management is complex business process with different process for Goods In and Good Out. Most of the WMS systems in the market are complex and very time consuming to use for Warehouse personnel.
Requirement
INFINIA Retail, wants Lean Apps to understand the pain points of Warehouse personnel in different Warehouse process and come with a solution that can save time in the otherwise complex process
Approach
We started with user interview at warehouse of INFINIA customers and understood their current processes. We created a user journey and understood the current pain points in the complete Goods In and Good Out process. This helped us design some paper prototypes which we tested with customers and iterated to a better solution. This was further converted to high fidelity prototype and then to a React Native App along with a web backoffice system.
Pet Tracker
Problem
This problem was discovered as part of Corporate Entrepreneurship program conducted by Lean Apps and it’s partners at Allianz. During a customer interview team stumble upon a problem that pets goes missing everyday and there is now way for pet owners to track these pets. Only way is to put missing pet message around the neighborhood
Requirement
To build an iOS app that can get the location of a GPS collar and pin point the location of the pet and path it took to reach there. It calculates how healthy the dog is based on it’s movement and informs the owner if it leaves the safe zone
Approach
We started with a two day workshop on Corporate Entrepreneurship in which teams learnt about customer interviews, lean canvas, business model canvas and digital experiments. For this idea, we defined MVP, wrote user stories, created UX and Visual designs, created iOS app. We also ran a marketing campaign on Facebook and Google
Infinia Restraunt
Problem
Restaurants are in need to adopt digital technologies. This is mainly required to keep customers loyal. It is also required to bring in Digital Menus which enables customers to order more.
Requirement
To build an Android and Cloud based POS system that enables restaurants to manage their digital Menus and take orders directly on tablets. The POS system should also maintain customers and loyalty programs. It should also be able to take payments in the form of Cash, Bank Card or Credit Card.
Approach
We started with defining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to test early critical assumptions. We build an Android and PHP based MVP with a great user experience. After the launch INFINIA Restaurant acquired pilot customers and took early feedback. We are now further adding Reservations and Wait-list modules
