In a 3-month project, Simple Code worked with the Pitve Wine Museum to revolutionize its exhibits with 9 interactive web applications. These applications deliver diverse multimedia content to visitors through touchscreens of varying sizes.
Objective
The primary goal was to create 9 applications that showcase multimedia content, making the museum's history more accessible and engaging. Each app was engineered to function seamlessly across touchscreens ranging from 24 to 43 inches and was presented in both Croatian and English languages.
Challenges
We faced challenges like ensuring the apps work without internet access and automatically start with the computer. Security features like exit restrictions were also necessary. Providing content in Croatian and English added complexity to the project.
Our Approach
Our process started with a comprehensive analysis of project requirements and hardware specifications. A unified codebase served as the foundation for all 9 applications. We optimized design assets for multiple screen resolutions and included specialized features like autostart and exit restrictions. Multiple testing rounds ensured functionality across all device types and languages.
Outcomes
The end result is a suite of 9 interactive web applications that have enriched the visitor experience at the Pitve Wine Museum. These apps are optimized for multiple touchscreen sizes and function in both Croatian and English. The project has set a new benchmark for interactive experiences in cultural venues.
