AI Driven Smart Dosing System for a Public Utility

Problem Statement

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) struggled to reduce pollution using traditional dosing systems, which were ineffective at lowering Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS). Additionally, they lacked real-time monitoring for plant and equipment health. DJB needed an AI-based solution for automated, optimized dosing and predictive maintenance.

Solution

Plaxonic developed the ISASMAC system, integrating AI/ML and IoT to adjust coagulant dosing and predict maintenance needs. Real-time data is collected and displayed on an intuitive dashboard, enabling effective monitoring and system utilization.

The smart dosing system uses IoT, ML, Big Data & Analytics, and AI. The tech stack includes Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, MongoDB, Apache ZooKeeper, MQTT, InfluxDB, Redis, Kafka, Python, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and ClickUp.

Result

Within four months, ISASMAC reduced BOD and TSS levels to 5 PPM and 8 PPM. Real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance improved plant health and efficiency, leading DJB to plan further deployments for sustainable water treatment.
