Solution
MEV developed an automated data processing pipeline using AWS Elastic MapReduce, S3, and Hive. The solution was designed to ingest, process, and automate Avadel’s data operations, significantly enhancing accuracy and speed.
Pharma Data Expertise: Leveraging our prior experience with industry-standard datasets and data pipelines, we quickly developed a prototype. This allowed us to process sample data and identify anomalies efficiently.

About the Project
MEV collaborated with Novo Nordisk to design and implement a market access-specific CRM with tools for account managers to access relevant, account-specific data. Novo Nordisk, an international pharmaceutical company based in Denmark, focuses on treatments for chronic conditions like diabetes, obesity, hemophilia, and growth hormone disorders. They are a major insulin producer, supplying 50% of the global market.
Client Challenges
Data Organization: Novo Nordisk had numerous insurance data feeds that were costly and underutilized due to the overwhelming volume of information. Account managers struggled to access relevant data for their regions and accounts.
Healthcare Exchange Initiatives: Novo Nordisk’s Market Access Group needed its account managers to navigate new healthcare exchanges efficiently and accurately.
Solution
MEV leveraged industry-specific knowledge to deliver tailored solutions:
Understanding Business Goals: MEV began with a discovery period to understand Novo Nordisk’s internal processes and goals. MEV analyzed challenges in achieving market share targets and collaborated with the Market Access Group to establish concrete challenges to address.
Medix Tool Development: MEV developed MEDIX, a market access-specific CRM and decision support system. MEDIX streamlined strategic and tactical account plans, ensuring transparency and accountability for the leadership team. The tool ingested unstructured data and used a custom-built NLP machine learning model to interpret data relevant to specific locations, accounts, and payer companies. MEV tested, deployed, and launched the tool successfully.
Additional Technological Support: After implementing MEDIX, MEV provided further tech support to Novo Nordisk’s Market Access Group, including interactive visual aids (IVAs) and a custom-built data analytics solution.

Pursuant, a fundraising and marketing agency based in Dallas, Texas, partners with nonprofits to enhance donor engagement through analytics and direct response services. Pursuant engaged MEV to develop a scalable data warehouse and automate their data processes to improve reporting capabilities and support future growth.
Client Challenges
Inefficient Reporting: Pursuant's on-premise SQL database required manual data preparation, slowing down the reporting process for their analyst team and hindering quick campaign effectiveness assessments.
Resource Constraints: The small Pursuant team was busy servicing clients and lacked bandwidth for extensive internal projects.

About the Project
Daiichi Sankyo, a global pharmaceutical company, sought MEV's assistance in leveraging data to enhance their sales strategies, particularly for a new product launch in the cardiovascular therapeutic category. MEV responded by developing two software solutions aimed at streamlining data visualization, analysis, and sales message delivery.
Client Challenges
Excessive Data to Analyze: Salespeople had only 60–90 seconds to present products to doctors, requiring quick access to relevant data. Despite subscribing to multiple data sources, Daiichi Sankyo couldn't fully utilize them.
Improve Interdepartmental Communication: Siloed data across departments led to delays in processing, making timely decision-making difficult.

Solution
NimbleTool Data Analytics and Visualization Software: Integrated 16 data sources, presenting them in a user-friendly way. It allowed salespeople to view data at various levels—territory, district, region, or area—making data actionable and relevant.

Aristotle Circle, established in 2008, offers comprehensive test preparation, school admissions counseling, and professional tutoring across all academic levels.

Outdated Tech Platform: Aristotle Circle struggled with an obsolete system that hindered business operations and caused frequent system failures.

In 2012, MEV embarked on a partnership with Cartier to enhance their internal communications and optimize the management of their high-end pieces. Together, we designed a two-part system to revamp Cartier's extranet and develop a sophisticated inventory management tool.

Inefficient Internal Communications: Cartier's existing extranet lacked user-friendliness and functionality, hindering day-to-day business operations.
Lack of Data Management: With scattered data on luxury pieces, Cartier needed a centralized inventory management system to improve data accessibility and tracking.
Our Solution
Custom Extranet Development: Instead of tweaking the old system, MEV collaborated with Cartier to build a new, user-friendly extranet tailored to their team's needs. We utilized an open-source LAMP stack to create a manageable and cost-effective solution.
High-Speed Inventory Management System: We developed the High Jewelry Search tool using Xapian, which enables fast data retrieval and efficient management of luxury pieces. This lightweight tool enhanced the user experience for Cartier's sales associates.

About the Project
MEV collaborated with Focal Revenue, a business intelligence platform for the hotel industry, to develop stable, commercial-grade software. Focal Revenue aggregates data from various property management systems to provide valuable insights for hospitality management executives.

Founded in 2013, Quantuvis aimed to bridge the process gap in rebate negotiations, contracting, and management between pharmaceutical manufacturers and payers. Their closed-loop system saves clients time, reduces errors, and improves financial performance, quickly establishing Quantuvis as an industry-standard platform for rebate management.

Quantuvis, as a growth-phase startup, rapidly found its product-market fit and had a significant opportunity to become a market leader. However, they faced the challenge of needing to quickly rebuild and expand their enterprise SaaS product to meet market demands and maintain their competitive edge.

OpenStudy/edtech
Project Overview:
MEV collaborated with OpenStudy, an educational social network, to stabilize their platform, design a mobile app, and create a virtual economy.
Client Challenges:
Unstable System: Despite using Scala and Play Framework, the platform struggled with stability issues and was unable to process the vast amounts of data generated daily.
Specialized Programming Language: The platform was built using Scala, a programming language requiring high-level engineering expertise. OpenStudy lacked the necessary in-house skills and struggled to find affordable engineers capable of maintaining and updating the system.
Growth and Expansion: OpenStudy aimed to transform into a complex digital economy to reward high-performing users and create a new revenue stream. They wanted a partner to help them adapt their platform for mobile use and develop a digital economy to attract new customers.
