Interview with Chetan Sheladiya, CEO - Metizsoft Solutions

Give us a quick overview on Metizsoft Solutions. When and how did you begin this journey and what were your motives to be successful in app development?
With Metizsoft Solutions I started my entrepreneurial journey way back in the year 2012. I was a student of computer and technology so naturally my inclination was towards founding a startup which focuses on current technology to achieve business aims. Before founding Metizsoft I worked in various companies as a technical executive. I must say that experience I gained in those ‘day shifts’ proved to be very helpful in my entrepreneurial journey.
I founded this company along with my friend Manthan Bhavsar, wholly self-financed and with the support of my friends and family. Today I run this organization in partnership with my friend Manthan Bhavsar. I must point here that through all these years he has been a great contributor to the company’s success and progress.
The main services we provide are E-Commerce solutions including app development services for all mobile device types. As we all know that a billion plus population on the earth have smart-phones, therefore seeing this great potential in ‘app economy’, we channelize more of our energy in mobile app development.

What is your role in the management and development of Metizsoft Solutions?
As the CEO of my company I am responsible for managing the overall operations and resources of the company. With Manthan, I handle the top management of the organization. At the same time, I have been a friend, philosopher and guide to my hardworking employees in all these years.

Tell us about your biggest achievement in the industry
Our company’s biggest achievement is to have a pool of 50 plus skilled workers and a good name in the books of clients we have worked with. As a matter of fact, we have started with one mobile developer and now we have a separate floor for our team of skilled developers.
So it has been a fruitful transition from one-two- three individuals to a company of 50 plus in these 6 years period.

How do you schedule the development phases of the apps to promise the timeline to your clients?
We first get all the details from our clients related to the type of app they want for their business, expected delivery time, etc. Based on all such factors and details provided by client we give them the exact timeline to deliver their app. We sit with our developers to divide the ‘work’ in different phases. We make sure that the client gets his app on time as promised.
However, 5 to 6 months is the average app development time in today’s scenario.

How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for app development?
We ask our clients to share their perspective about the industry they are into. Then we give our feedback about the type of platform which suits their requirements. We make them aware about the type of mobile app development technologies available, if they are not aware of them.
At last we go ahead with the best platform (android, iOS, cross platform) taking all factors into consideration.

Which would you suggest for a successful and profitable business progression, Native or hybrid apps? How do you define the factors that influenced you to make this choice?
The current market trends favor cross-platform app development. We build both native and hybrid apps. However, with the introduction of React Native and other cross platform technologies, there is a surge in demand from clients for hybrid apps.
We look forward to build both native and cross-platform apps for our clients.

How do you scheme your pricing model? How do you fix your budget?
As said earlier, every app is unique so pricing is different for every app. The final quote depends on the developer’s salary, prevailing app development cost in market, client’s additional requirements, etc. Once the final price is conveyed to client, the budget is fixed accordingly.

How helpful are the mobile apps developed by your team, for enhancing your clients’ business?
We make sure that the apps developed by our team fulfill the aspirations of our clients. We build apps that are user friendly and can meet the business requirements of our client effectively and efficiently.
If the app is simple and user friendly, no doubt it will upscale the business of the client.

What according to you are the best practices to attain client satisfaction?
I think honesty, quality work and ensuring open communication channel between you and client will help you in winning his trust and confidence.

How do you update your business system to be in pace with the technological advancements?
This is quite a challenge but to survive and thrive in the industry we have to be in pace with the current technological advancements happening in this sector. In our company we manage all the training cost of employees who enroll themselves to learn new skill. At the same time, we prioritize our resource allocation to be in pace with the changing technology.

What are your thoughts about AR, VR and Internet of Things (IoT)?
Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Internet of Things are seen as technologies which are going to play a key role in all consumer centric businesses.  And not just in business, the convergence of these three will bring great changes in real life of an individual. I think these new technologies will bring positive changes in all aspects of life.

What do you think will be the future of Mobile technology?
The future belongs to technology which is custom made for an individual. The same holds true for mobile technology. We are heading into a direction where the focus will be on providing personalized user experience and taking care of every individual’s likes and dislikes.
