We had a kickoff meeting with Grovention where we asked them on designing category-wise web pages for our sports products with a smoother page experience. For this project, the technical resources included the Shopify platform to provide e-commerce facilities to our customers. They also used Node.js for site development and MySQL for e-commerce and user data storage. We provided all the images and content copies to them that we were seeking to place on the web pages. As we had numerous products placed under different categories, it was a challenge to design a mobile-first website with minimal page loading time. From the recent progress meeting, we realized that all sorts of testing had been covered. As soon as the site will be live, we will be starting on working the second phase of the project which includes social brand awareness and other digital marketing activities. They took every challenge as an opportunity and handled it exceptionally well. There was an issue with page load time which the developers tackled with their experience and knowledge. They kept us on the front line since the initiation of the project with minute updates on the progress. We are using emails, Microsoft Teams, Skype and WhatsApp as the source of information sharing and communication for this project.
The process started with a blank canvas where their team portrayed the ideas systematically. We discussed building a website structure that should match our industry criteria. As the objective was to have a corporate site, the content tone along with professional design was the top priority while going through the design & development phase. The entire site is designed on WordPress. The sketch was used for wireframe designs and Node.js environment for backend development. We also asked them to prepare a video demonstration to specify our services and its benefits in resolving business issues which can able to attract our prospects to sign up and get engaged with the website. They are now working on integrating the modules with external APIs for safer payment transactions, analytics, and user management. Once the module assembling and testing stage are over, our site will go live. Afterward, we will engage in digital marketing activities for achieving our further business objectives.
Before the project assignment, we had prepared the functionality flow chart of our previous website in rough and presented them. As the design was not to the mark, we wanted to change it completely. They designed a new template for our website keeping in mind our needs. The website is designed on Shopify environment with ultimate designs and features like engaging FAQs on every service and product pages, appropriate and SEO-friendly page formatting styles for content highlighting and many more. With the modules ready in hand, they assembled it and are now focusing on basic SEO changes for better functionality. Later we will be working on the complete marketing of our website as well as we will be doing content marketing especially for educating our customers. It is exciting working with them. We were able to monitor every step of the project easily through mails and skype. They asked for the feedbacks at every milestone of the project to ensure that the project is on track. Due to their constructive and gliding work process, we are successfully accomplishing the milestones one after another.
We sat with their team, and they prepared a rough layout of our idea while discussing to realize the outlook of the website. Once we all were on the same page and the layout and design was finalized their designers started working on the website pages and within 2-3 days, they sent us the designs for review. We made few changes and later it was implemented and finalized. We had a lot of discussions in the check-in meetings while module approvals. We talked to them regarding more and better inputs to make the pages persuade our customers and they did it without any hesitation. Now their team has started their work on the development and we hope the website will be ready soon to be used by our customers. In the later stage, they will be helping us in promoting our website online. Grovention already had experience in designing beauty care websites. So, it was not that difficult for them to pick up our concept and surprised us with their innovative ideas. In the first consultation call, we were only having a clear picture of our requirements but other than that we had no plans or ideas to share with them.
