Challenge
The client was looking for a trusted IT partner that could develop mobile ordering apps for their existing ecommerce platform which would allow buyers place orders from their smartphones. It was supposed to be close at hand, easy to navigate and simple to use. The company was also looking for a way to streamline its operations and improve its shipping processes to provide faster and more efficient service to its customers.
Solution
Devvela team collected and analyzed all requirements, created customer stories together with the client and deployed the solution in several iterations adding new features and making sure that the app works flawlessly.
Together with the common ecommerce functionality we developed a custom process of product selection based on cocktail recipes also provided in the app.
The main focus was the intuitive interface that is easy to navigate across iOS and Android devices.

Today, Spirit Hub can fearlessly drive customer traffic through web and mobile channels. We made sure that enriching the app and updating its functionality will be a piece of cake. And since the potential advertising ROI is no longer limited by the user experience issues of the original, we expect fast expansion.
Business website with an online configurator
Challenge
The traditional method of creating estimates for each client was time-consuming and resulted in high costs for both the company and the client. The process involved several rounds of communication between the sales team, the engineering team, and the customer to finalize the estimations for the elevator. It took a lot of time and in addition to that, the traditional process did not allow clients to visualize the final product in the process of estimation. The challenges faced by our client were impacting their ability to stay competitive in the market and meet the demands of their clients.
Solution
To address these issues, the company decided to partner with Devvela to create a website featuring an online elevator configurator solution which would allow their customers to easily configure elevators to their specific needs and preferences. The configurator was integrated into the company's existing sales and design processes and was available online for clients to use at any time.
Devvela team used Agile methodology in the process of analysis and development and closely collaborated with the company representatives to ensure that the solution met the specific needs of the business.
The configurator was developed using a user-friendly interface that allowed B2B customers to select the size, speed, and capacity of the elevator, and other technical details as well as design features such as flooring, lighting, buttons and material. As a result the configurator generated images of the elevator, making it easier for customers to visualize their design and pre-filled estimate documents for company representatives to review and send to customers.
Results
The elevator configurator solution has significantly improved the customer experience and the efficiency of the elevator company's sales and estimation process. Customers can configure elevators in a fraction of the time it took previously, and the company has been able to reduce costs by automating much of the design and estimation process.
Downtown Docks
Challenge
The company's problem was interaction with their customers while booking docks. All processes were manual. Customers had to call or email to check the availability and make a reservation. All the data was added and edited manually by managers. The client set out to simplify the searching and booking process and improve customer experience.
Solution
Devvela was chosen to develop an advanced solution that would digitize the booking process and boost docks’ occupancy hence increasing company revenue.
With the help of Devvela, the client got a modern web and mobile platform for:
- advance booking of docks which calculates needed space depending on vessel size and confirms the availability;
- intuitive and user-friendly search and booking by the customers;
The platform was developed with a mobile-first approach so that customers traveling on a boat could easily book a dock from their smartphone.
Results
Downtown Docks got a centralized platform meeting all their customers' and managers’ requirements, and bringing transparency into their interaction around searching and booking processes. Using this platform our client managed to eliminate clashes that cause traffic jams and make sure that everyone is informed about availability, reservation, and payment. As a result, it is reported to increase their monthly bookings by 42%.
The project is still in progress and continues to be developed and new functionality is being added. Downtown Docks uses our services to fully digitize and simplify their managers’ work, reduce the number of calls and emails, reach maximum occupancy of docks, and grow their revenue while providing the best customer experience.
Mobile Distributor App
Challenge
The company's problem was interaction with their small B2B customers. Although all accounts of the company were handled by the ERP system, only larger accounts were making purchases via an integrated interface, while hundreds of small accounts were handled manually over email and phone. Our client was suffering from misleading information, lost orders, and slow information exchange. The client set out to simplify distributor-buyer interaction and improve customer experience.
Solution
The workshop session with our client and their field account managers confirmed that most of their buyers and SDRs are using mobile devices and are always on the go.
So, the B2B mobile ordering app was chosen as an advanced solution that would digitize the process and be easily and painlessly adaptable by:
- small B2B and Hospitality industry accounts such as stores, venues, bars, restaurants, and alike;
- the client's SDRs;
So, we came up with a modern B2B ordering mobile app for customers or SDRs with synchronized inventory, order tracking and delivery management, personalizations, and recommendations.
Both Android and iOS apps were implemented into the work of the company. The apps are fully connected with the ERP of the client with real-time synchronization.
Results
After the distributor app was deployed, 67% of clients' customers fully adopted the solution with all orders going through the new system.
The distributor app proved itself to be a cost-effective and scalable way to clear the clutter of misleading information, grow sales and develop loyalty.
Custom CRM for manufacturing company
Challenge
The company has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, but with this growth came challenges in managing customer relationships. The company realized that it needed to implement a system that would streamline its sales processes and improve overall customer satisfaction. To fully digitize the process we were set the following tasks: Simplify the ordering process and make it visually available for customers; Decrease time spent processing orders; Create a single source of truth for all departments; All these made our client request us a solution that would digitize and automate their sales processes.
Solution
The Devvela team identified various personas using the platform, created journey maps to assess the tasks that needed to be addressed by all parties involved, and came up with the solution targeted at all the personas:

Sales representatives - easy access to the product database, quick order overview and estimation, and timely notifications about customer interactions.
Supervisors - access to all data regarding the sales department's performance.

Chihuly Workshop
In 2012 Dale Chihuly's workshop's team requested us to build an eCommerce based online store, that would help customers to find exactly what they are looking for.
So the main tool of the website we created is a catalogue of beautiful pieces of glass art, prints, books, DVDs, and merchandise ranging from garments and accessories to party games. Customers can also join Studio Edition and Print Clubs, thus subscribing to most recent information on new products, special offers, upcoming events, and exhibitions. Later, in 2015 we built the mobile version.
Player's Health
Player’s Health is a high-load sports injury management platform for the Web and mobile devices. It’s been popular among investors from the very beginning. It has already developed a partnership with USA Wrestling, and could soon be ubiquitous in all middle and high school sports.
