Give us a quick overview on CloudTrains Technologies. When and how did you begin this journey and what were your motives to be successful in app development?

CloudTrains Technologies Pvt.Ltd is an IT service providing company spread across 4 countries and serving clients from over 20 countries across the world. CloudTrains Technologies is a global services company specializing in mobile apps development, Web development, Software Development, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud integration, Data analytics and Blockchain technology that will transform the way you do business. Our primary services are in Native and Hybrid Mobile and web app development. Our industrial solutions like CRM, SaaS, ECM, CMS, LMS & other industry-based solutions software have helped hundreds of companies in improving their performance.

What is your role in the management and development of CloudTrains Technologies?

I am the Co-Founder, CEO & a Key decision maker of CloudTrains Technologies. Basically, my role as founder is to take the leadership to the next advanced level. It is like to have an eye on all the aspects of the company. I manage and ensure the implementation of company policy, methodologies, and best practices; while prioritizing the best interest of the workforce - which I consider the most valuable asset of the Company.

I believe “To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity. I always encourage teamwork, ‘out-of-the-box’ approach and innovation. I have come with a strong technical background fueled with hunger for innovation and teamwork. I’m also passionate about delivering what we promise to help our clients in leveraging the emerging technologies in the new digital era and deployment of innovative, efficient and resilient processes within the Organization.

Tell us about your biggest achievement in the industry

Our biggest achievement in the IT industry is that we have 1000+ projects successfully completed from across the globe. We also carry 80% client retention rate. We are doing well in the industry since our inception. Our 20+Projects Funded by VCs. 95% Projects Completed-on-time. Our success story has been covered by many recognized news houses, like Times of India, inc42, DB News. We joined hands with TIZEN Association the growth of Tizen-powered applications and services and the ecosystem supporting the emerging OS of everything, Tizen. Conference sessions will be led by Tizen Technical Steering Group members Intel and Samsung, and will also include leading Chinese companies such as Alibaba, Baidu and Tencent. Tizen Developer Summit Shanghai also will play host to DevLab, featuring deep dives into the latest Tizen wearable SDK and live coding for wearable app development, this I treat as our achievement.

How do you schedule the development phases of the apps to promise the timeline to your clients?

Our development phase of app begins with wire framing where we create prototypes. It includes the raw structure of the app taking into consideration the client requirement. Then we have meetings of business analyst and clients, and then come into picture the UI/UX team. All the designing section takes places on the wire framing. Once the designing completes, the actual development process starts on along with the database integration. Quality Assurance & testing phase is added. And finally, the deployment of the product takes place. We keep our clients updated about the project after each milestone is achieved and follow agile methodology to stay flexible with our working.

How do you help your clients in choosing the right yet profitable platform for app development?

Choosing the right yet profitable platform for app development for our client is unique perspective of our organization.  Should it be iOS or Android, the answer lies within the reach of business and what our client wants to develop an app. As a matter of choice, developing an app on both the platforms is the finest approach. The factors we put in front of our clients while developing an app are: target audience, development cost, features, functionality and new features to be added in future.  We then suggest them accordingly which platform and framework would be the most precise yet flexible option for their app development needs. We show them the app’s capability and future scenarios if they go with other platforms. After this discussion, we pay heed to the requirements of the client and work with the decided app development platform.


Which would you suggest for a successful and profitable business progression, Native or hybrid apps? How do you define the factors that influenced you to make this choice?

Native apps and hybrid apps each have their own pros and cons. Your final decision depends entirely on your clients business needs. Hybrid apps pull attention of many clients by their simple approach, cost efficiency and compatibility using many technologies and platforms. They seem to be attractive but they require more maintenance time. However, native apps will completely satisfy the users in terms of the performance and through the platform’s built-in functions.

Native apps have highly user-friendly interface design, and access to the native application programming interfaces. As compared to hybrid apps, Native apps save your maintenance time and money by offering a better UX and following the platform and industry standards. As said before, it all depends upon needs of each organization. Going with Native or Hybrid app development is a very personal choice for each project and cannot be done merely based on a Pros and Cons list.


How do you scheme your pricing model? How do you fix your budget?

We have 5 pricing models in place:

Hire a Developer Model: Hire a Developer Model is right for the clients that only need a single or limited resource either to finish their unfinished project or a project that would be led by (a person with sound technical knowledge) client.

Fixed Price Model: Fixed Cost Model is the right call for the projects that have well-defined and time-frame. This model has almost no improvisation when it comes to development and follows a fixed set of requirements and feature list specified before the project starts.

Time & Material Model: Time & Material Model is right for the projects that don’t have fully defined set of client requirements and feature list and which may vary as we move ahead with the project.

Dedicated Team Model: Through dedicated resource engagement model, we implement customer specific quality/process frameworks at client’s end with the help of a dedicated team, which includes team members, project managers, equipment and infrastructure. With the dedicated development team engagement model at CloudTrains, we extend the services of our dedicated resources to cater to the needs of our clients. It enables us to implement established procedures and quality frameworks at the client’s end through a dedicated team of project managers, trained developers, etc. Alongside, we also provide proper infrastructure and equipment as per the specific client’s requirements.

Tech-Partner Model: Tech-Partner Model is basically a model, where we share revenue with you, if you think that your idea make a dent in universe and you just need a technical hands, so you can choose us, we will help you and give you all necessary technical things on basis of revenue or share-based sharing.
We discuss with the clients about their objectives of the project and what their timeline expectation. We will then suggest them the best one according to their individual project needs.

If the client has a clear idea about the project, then we make the pricing model according to the timeline and number of resources needed for the project.

How do you update your business system to be in pace with the technological advancements?

We have a Research and Development department in our company, which is in charge of keeping updates of technological advancements. As per new trends in technology, senior team members of our organization will learn & implement the trending technologies. After that we will train our fresh talents and other mid & junior level employees well and will work on it together.


What are your thoughts about AR, VR and Internet of Things (IoT)?

2018 was a year of sustained development for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality& Internet of Things. On the VR side, wireless was a major technology of jargon. In the AR world, a wave of new apps hit Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store, letting users do everything from measure distance without a tape measure to preview an entire new living room set right in their own home. It is estimated that by 2020, there will be around 30 billion IoT devices. As the popularity of the Internet of Things (IoT) continues to rise across industries, IoT is on its way of move in every industry. We are happy to share that a couple of our solutions are heading towards the same direction. We are already engaged with AI in our current solution and are exploring more in Artificial Intelligence based projects. This also motivates our team to grow personally by learning new skills and technologies.

What do you think will be the future of Mobile technology?

The future of Mobile technology has reached to the new level. Mobile devices are doing the job of keeping millions all over the world connected, informed and entertained. Predicting a more revolutionized future, it might include 5g networks, flexible mobile devices, and other innovations. Wearable devices, mobile app connected smart objects through IoT, M-Commerce, Motion & location Sensing, Application Performance Management (APM)&Enterprise mobile management are all future of Mobile Applications. What I can say for certain is that the future of app development will look vastly different than its contemporary iteration. Developers would do well to begin preparing for that future.
