Mobile application for the international charity fund for helping animalsTaskIn October 2017, we were approached by the International Fund for Assistance to Animals "Donating Hope" in order to create our mobile application.The application should duplicate the main functionality of the site, namely:DonationsCatalog of animals that need helpCatalog of animals that you can take to yourselfFiltration of animals in the catalog by main attributesList of places where you can donate thingsNews line with filteringForm for those wishing to become volunteersPush notificationsThe basic information about the fund is the founders, the board of trustees, the team, etc.The application must be available on Android and iOS platforms and located in the AppStore and Google Play stores.The application was created by our team at no cost.ImplementationSince we wanted to show the best result - we decided to make applications without using React Native or Cordova frameworks, but only in native languages ??- Swift / Objective-C and Java (which takes much longer, but the result is significantly better).On the fund's site, an API was made for the application with images rendered to the screen size of mobile devices performing the request (of course with caching) in order to optimally reduce the images for their quick delivery to the devices.The service from Google - Firebase was chosen for delivery of notifications to both platforms, the choice was made in its favor, since it is shareware (up to a certain threshold) and easily integrated with both mobile mobile platforms.Because Apple's policy does not allow payments directly from the application to charitable funds (blatant injustice), it was necessary to open a form of payment in the browser of the device.It is worth noting that this restriction does not apply to the countries of America and Canada.ResultMobile applications on iOS and Android have been developed in 3 weeks. Another two weeks left for testing applications by the fund's staff. All wishes of the fund and incarnation on both platforms are taken into account.
