Color formulation management software
The customer
Our customer is a manufacturer of color measurement and management software and hardware.Their products are involved in a range of industries that touch many of today’s consumer products, including packaging, apparel, footwear, electronics, cosmetics, home furnishings, paint, food and beverage, and construction.
The requirements
The client wanted a web-based implementation of their paint and color formulation management software. Multiple existing desktop-based solutions were to be integrated into a web platform with a modern user interface. This would enable the company to reach new customers, so end-user feedback was to be taken into account during the design of the UI.
The challenge
One of our challenges was to ensure that we provide quality work and a reliable solution while keeping up with the pace of a fast-growing project and continuous customer feedback. Based on strong communication with the customer, we implemented the required functionality and continue to support the application with improvements and new features.

The outcome
We delivered a web app that makes paint formula management easy in environments as small as individual automobile repair shops, or as large as international paint manufacturing companies. The solution can be adapted to the need of each user and new features are still being added.
eHealth Rehabilitation
THE CUSTOMER
The customer is a neurotechnology company specializing in patient rehabilitation.
THE REQUIREMENTS
A set of games that replicate and replace the exercises used to rehabilitate patients.
THE CHALLENGE
The application had to recognize the body posture of the patient and use the user’s gestures as inputs for the games. Due to the medical environment, the application needed to run on very low specification machines.

THE OUTCOME
We’ve worked closely with the medical team to ensure the product respects the requirements of the exercises. The games were built to meet user needs with a deep understanding of the neuro therapeutic context. Every application uses the Kinect camera as input allowing the player to grab onto object in order to reach his/her goal. The final product respects the steps of the exercises required for rehabilitation. Gesture and posture recognition are highly precise and is used as input for the exercises. It improves hand eye coordination, reaction time and cognitive skills.
3D Bike in Augmented Reality
THE CUSTOMER
Our customer is a Japanese public multinational conglomerate corporation primarily known as a manufacturer of automobiles, aircraft, motorcycles, and power equipment.
THE REQUIREMENTS
The customer requested a product to showcase their line of motorcycles, that is also compatible with a wide variety of devices. The user would be able to play around with various configuration options of the 3D bike in 360 view and transpose it into their own environment with the Augmented Reality mode.
THE CHALLENGE
Because the application needed to run on a wide variety of devices, the biggest challenge came from keeping the visual quality high while keeping the system requirements low.

Frontend development - Smart football equipment
THE CUSTOMER
Riddell is a leading manufacturer of American Football equipment. Their latest innovation was a smart helmet that was recording the head-impacts of a player during his activities.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Our customer requested a solution to allow coaches and players to manage their training sessions and games and visualize their head impacts as well as a complete analysis of the correlation between games and impacts.
THE CHALLENGE
The application was designed to be used by football coaches and persons who don’t necessarily have a technical background. Also, the design had to make visible as many components as possible at the same while also having a good readability.

• Creating and managing new sessions (games, trainings or scrims)
• Estimating contact minutes as well as the level of danger the players are exposed to

All requested functionalities were implemented; the application is deployed and available for US Riddell customers. The end users are pleased with the application behavior.
Real-Time Strategy Multiplayer Game
THE CUSTOMER
The customer is a video game publisher.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Real Time Strategy Multiplayer Card Game for Mobile where the users can deploy their troops strategically on the map and Siege their opponent’s Castle Towers. Also, collects cards and unique characters with special abilities to unlock new strategies in order to become the best warrior.
THE CHALLENGE
The application had to run on a wide variety of mobile devices and leading operating systems.
Getting a real-time multiplayer game up and running successfully on different internet connections.

THE OUTCOME
We provided a consistent and stable solution for running a successful real-time multiplayer game. From a technical perspective, that means designing a fun game that will consistently connect players to people on their gaming level – all while avoiding lag, crashing and disconnection. The final product stands out through its visual designs.
Web-based tool for workforce management
THE CUSTOMER
Our customer operates as a software company that provides workforce management solutions. Their tool enables customers to plan the utilization of right resources at the right time and for the right job.
THE REQUIREMENTS
The client wanted a web-based approach to their workforce Management software. The requirement was to rewrite the old app using new frameworks and implement a more user-friendly design, based on the feedback received from the customers and consultants.
THE CHALLENGE
One of our challenges was to ensure that we provide quality work and a reliable solution while keeping up with the pace of a fast-growing project and continuous customer feedback.
Based on a strong communication with the customer, we succeeded to rewrite the whole application using front-end frameworks and to deliver new features in a very short period of time.
We strived to add improvements to the old features without changing their flow and without affecting the end customer.

THE OUTCOME
The application is a simple, web-based tool that allows users to register their own time and tasks, and review information on how their actual time has been utilized. It runs in a web-browser and can even be integrated into any company’s own intranet.
AR application in food retail industry
THE CUSTOMER
The customer is membership-only warehouse chain selling a variety of bulk grocery items, electronics & home goods and is the 8th largest U.S. retailer.
THE REQUIREMENTS
The customer requested an AR application that made the shopping experience more fun for the buyers.
THE CHALLENGE
Having a lot of particles and animations within the application, while also being able to run it at a target framerate of 60 FPS on a wide range of devices, both on iOS and Android.

City VR tour
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
CITY VR Tour our own product and is the first Virtual Reality application of a city in Romania, currently present in Cluj-Napoca. The application is an interactive computer-generated experience taking place within a simulated environment (virtual reality) and offers anyone fond of new experiences the chance to make a “live” impression of the atmosphere of a specific location. Using High Tech VR glasses, they can move above the city in any direction and observe every detail they consider important and attractive.
THE CHALLENGE
The application needed to not only showcase the sights and attractions of the city, it also needed to enhance the experience for the user. We had hardware work together with the software side in order to better convey the experience for the users.

THE OUTCOME
The users can study, visit and inspect the sights without being physically present in that location. The current version of Experience Cluj in VR has 3 unique experiences that allow panoramas of 360º, the “movement” being at a height of about 70 meters, at an average speed of 50 km/h: a ride in a rollercoaster over the city, a tour of the city center in a winding paragliding and a flight over the Feleacu piste. Today, City VR is successfully used by the Cluj-Napoca City Hall. The app has a huge potential to be used in every city, especially for tourism purposes (city tours, sightseeing, points of interest, ancient monuments etc.).
Microservices architecture and design for Automotive
THE CUSTOMER
One of the largest manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles is developing their Connected Drive Platform which is an intelligent network of information, communication and driver assistance systems inside and outside of the vehicle.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Our customer requested an Identity and Access Management solution (IAM) which includes Authentication, Authorization, OpenID Connect Support, Single Sign On (SSO), Two factor authentication and One-time password (OTP) authentication.
THE CHALLENGE
The authentication and authorization in the microservices architecture involves scenarios that are more complex, involving users accessing microservice applications, third-party applications accessing microservice applications, and multiple microservice applications accessing each other.
Besides the functional and security related requirements, the login service needed to fulfill two non-functional requirements: Quick response time and high availability. Therefore, the service implementation needed to focus on fast and scalable approaches.
KEY PRODUCT FEATURES
• The platform connects vehicles with digital services and offers driver assistance, travel guide, parking assistance, car control from smartphone, CoPilot driver assistance, connected parking, real time traffic information, etc.
• IAM is responsible for all user account life cycle management (sign up, activation, deletion), user account support services (change password, reset password, change login id, change secret knowledge), authentication (login, secret knowledge) and authorization.
• The service supports the OpenID Connect protocol as a mean to authenticate customers for using federated external service providers.
• Authentication Requests follows the Implicit Flow path described in OpenID Connect specification.
• Customers can login by using a one-time password (OTP) instead of a password that is stored in their account. After requesting an OTP at the front-end, the user receives one-time password via SMS or email and can enter this for authentication. The password is invalidated after the single use.
• The user can login with social accounts like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, LinkedIn.
• We implemented a centralized logging solution and tracing and correlating Id’s into the log from each service. Service logs will be aggregated with ElasticSearch, LogStash and Kibana with monitoring and alerting.
• The single sign on (SSO) tokens are implemented using the JSON Web Token (JWT) standard and the peripheral standards for JSON Web Encryption (JWE), JSON Web Signature (JWS) and JSON Web Key (JWK).
• The main features of the JSON Web Token (JWT) are the identification and the authorization of customers. The token-based authentication is a stateless authentication mechanism as the user state is never saved in the server memory or in a database. As JWTs are self-contained, all the necessary information is there, reducing the need of going back and forward to the database or to other back-end-systems.
• The OAuth2 services are integrated with existing Active Directory, LDAP and SQL / NoSQL customer databases for authentication.
